Objective

Axa was working through how new technology, particularly self-driving cars and the regulation forming around them, would reshape insurance. It hosted an event showcasing autonomous-vehicle developments, and the work was commissioned to film and document it and to record its key spokespeople.

The constraint was the event itself. There was no second day and no reshoot: everything the film needed had to exist by the time the room emptied.

Creative response

  • Storyboard agreed before the day. The video structure was storyboarded and the outline signed off with Axa in advance.
  • A key-footage list. Drawn up so nothing needed on the day was left to chance.
  • One shooting window. All interviews and footage captured within six hours during the live event.
  • Two weeks in production. Two versions cut, one for Axa and one for its partner Ventura.
