Privacy

This is an archive of twenty years of work. It collects almost nothing about you, and this page is short because there is not much to say.

Who runs it

The site is operated by W’A.I Studios Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16612775, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller under registration ZC031208. The work shown is Kris Makuch’s; the company runs the website.

What it collects

Server logs
The hosting provider records your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and your browser. Every website does this and it cannot be switched off. They are not read routinely.
Analytics, if you agree
Google Analytics 4, property G-TFF7WCHDF6. It sets cookies, so it does not load until you press Allow. Decline or ignore the banner and no analytics script runs and no cookie is set. Google Signals and advertising features are off.
Email
If you write to the address above, that email exists. There is no contact form here, so nothing is collected unless you start it.

There are no accounts, no logins, no comments, no newsletter and no payments.

The graph

The graph runs entirely in your browser. Its data is part of the page, nothing is sent anywhere as you use it, and your filters and clicks are not recorded.

Why it is allowed

Server logs
Legitimate interests: keeping the site up and working.
Analytics
Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Email
Legitimate interests: you wrote, and would like an answer.

How long

Server logs
As long as the host keeps them, usually weeks.
Analytics
14 months, then Google deletes it automatically.
Email
As long as the conversation is useful.

Who else sees it

The hosting provider, which serves the site. Google, for analytics, and only if you agreed. The email provider, if you write. Nobody else. Nothing is sold, and there is no advertising on this site.

Google may process analytics data outside the UK, including in the United States. If you would rather it did not, decline the banner and nothing is sent.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what is held, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to it being used, or withdraw consent. Email kris@krismakuch.co.uk and you will get an answer within a month. For analytics the quickest route is the cookie settings link, which reopens the banner.

If something goes wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Security and children

The site is served over HTTPS and is a folder of static files. There is no database, so there is no database of yours to lose. It is not aimed at children.
