The deliverable is a single, specific object: an eight-page internal document titled “The AlphaSights approach to Performance Management: Driving Performance through People”. It sets out a performance-management framework, the principles behind it, and the mechanics of how it runs.

The document itself states that the system it describes applied to AlphaSights London during 2014.

The design and layout of the document: not the authorship of the framework, not the HR policy behind it, and not its implementation.

2014 sits squarely inside that period.

An internal framework document has a narrow, unglamorous job. It is read once properly and then referenced repeatedly, usually by someone looking for one specific thing under time pressure. The design problem is hierarchy: making a management system legible at a glance, across eight pages, without the reader having to reconstruct it each time.
